A beachside Perth luxurious mansion has been compared to a wedge of cheese The five-bedroom, three-bathroom property at 18 Callington Avenue in City Beach is on a wedge-shaped block of land, and architects have capitalized on this.

Aerial photos on the listing reveal how the home tapers to a point, just like a wedge of cheese. Scott Swingler of Shore Property is behind the campaign. The listing states the home is now under offer.

Iredale Pedersen Hook Architects explain on the listing how the wedge design exploits the tapering boundaries with a vanishing point that meets in the neighboring property. Referencing the cheese analogy, they go on to reveal that the tactile and delicious materials were reserved for the interior spaces and courtyards.

Behind white walls and sandstone detail lies a private world with an expansive use of glass and recycled Jarrah. A void at the center of the home adds a touch of drama. There are multiple alfresco areas, a rooftop terrace and a “vanishing lap pool” that leads to the distant end of the garden.
